RMI’s 4th Annual Nonprofit Mailer Symposium:

RMI held its 4th annual Nonprofit Mailer Symposium in DC last week; this event was created to bring together nonprofits to have an open discussion of their accomplishments and concerns. Conversation flowed as we enjoyed the southern fare at Acadiana, started off by a DMA overview presented by Kelly Browning, Executive Vice President and COO of American Institute for Cancer Research, and immediate past president of the DMA Board of Directors. The agenda covered specific topics of Housefile strategies, Donor Recruitment and Creative. There was this year, as always, a tremendous amount of discussion and conversation related to Online and Multi-channel marketing and how everyone is utilizing the numerous channels.
The attendee feedback we’ve received tells us this event is consistently insightful and informative for all attendees.

Thanks for another successful Nonprofit Symposium

For the third year, RMI hosted a Nonprofit Symposium the day prior to the Washington Nonprofit Conference in DC. In attendance were representatives from some of the leading nonprofit mailers in the industry. The day's agenda was set by the attendees who submitted questions for group discussions prior to the event. Many interesting topics were covered ranging from creative design to on-line/mobile fundraising. Even the weather couldn't dampen the day.
I thank everyone who attended and submitted topics. Hope to see you all again next year.
If you were not in attendance and would like to be invited to the next year's event, shoot me an email at
mstein@rmidirect.com and I'd be happy to set you up.

Second Nonprofit Mailer Symposium a hit

On Jaunuary 23, 2008 RMI hosted it's second annual Nonprofit Mailer Symposium in Washington DC. Held at the Occidental Restaurant, it was a precursor to the DMA Nonprofit Federation's Washington event. This mailers-only round table is a venue for nonprofit mailers to be able to interact with peers to exchange ideas and report on developments which effect every nonprofit mailer today. "It's like a one on one lunch meeting where you can ask questions and get really straight answers, except that there are about 30 others at the table too."
Discussed were strategies for online and off line marketing tips and best and worst case studies for packages and both house file and acquisition.
